TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TransCore Link Logistics’ Canadian Freight Index volume rebounds by 10 percent in May from the previous month following weak results in April. May load volumes were 16 percent below results a year ago. May’s load volumes for cross-border postings averaged 71 percent of total volumes. Cross-border loads destined for provinces within Canada were down 16 percent year-over-year compared to May 2012.

Year-over-year volume remained behind March 2012 levels by 11 percent. Year-over-year load volumes were down 24 percent from September 2011. Quarterly figures were down 14 percent year-over-year while truck capacity was up 13 percent.
