Not even the thunder or rain could put a damper on scramble format at The Country Club, raising funds for SickKids Foundation and other children’s charities across Canada.

This tournament is not your ordinary industry golf tournament—the event is unrivaled in its great food, extraordinary prizes, and unique networking and golfing format.  TransCore Link Logistics hosted its 19th Annual Conference and Charity Golf Tournament on Wednesday, July 12th, in Woodbridge, Ontario and raised over $300,000 to date.

The day kicked-off early morning with Link’s User Conference featuring a panel discussion: How to use your frontline for profit moderated by Mike McCarron, Left Lane Associates and closed the morning with the company giving away a trip for two to Vegas to Alexandra Duncan of PRI Logistics.

Despite the rain that stopped the play mid-course, this year’s tournament was a day jam-packed with fun and laughter. All golfers were given a free pair of Nike golf shoes, a selection of golf shirts from Adidas, Nike and Under Armour, and a variety of prizes won by all. As a goodwill gesture, the Club graciously provide each guest a free raincheck certificate for a free play of 18 holes. This year’s winning team was Sam Marr from PRI Logistics, Steve Donnell from Taylor Made Logistics, Joel MacKay from Mactrans Logistics and Gary Marsh from Mosaic Logistics.

“We are proud of how our customers and the community comes together to support us and these charities” shares Claudia Milicevic, senior director & general manager of TransCore Link Logistics. A representative from SickKids Foundation was in attendance to accept the cheque.
